Meryl Simms Art

I'm Meryl Simms and have lived in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire for over 35 years. Growing up on a farm in Herefordshire instilled in me a love of wildlife, flowers and painting everything around me.

Living on the edge of the countryside, I enjoy walking round the fields and hills looking for flowers and scenes to paint.

I love working with mixed media, but especially enjoy watercolours and pastels. I like the excitement of watercolours as you never know exactly what's going to happen. Pastels are more predictable, but I appreciate the textures you can create with them. Recently I've discovered gouache which I'm currently loving.
